President
- Mark Brunt bcgcpresident@gmail.com

The Gator Club President is responsible for the management of the club, the appointment of committees and committee chairpersons and the general leadership necessary for successful club meetings. These individuals oversee all committees, committee chairs and day to day operations. They also correspond with representatives from UF, the UFAA and UF related entities.


 

President-Elect - Peter Moore bcgcpresidentelect@gmail.com

The President-Elect reports directly to the President and functions as an extension of that position.  They shall perform the duties of the President in the absence of, or disability of, the President.  They are also responsible for overseeing all committees and coordinator positions, which report directly to the President-Elect.


 

 


 


VP, Athletics
- OPEN POSITION bcgcathletics@gmail.com

The Athletic VP works directly with the club relations staff to secure athletic speakers for events and activities. They also organize sports related Committees, Meetings and related events including the annual Golf Tournament, season ticket raffle, professional sports events and work with the president elect on Gator Gathering, organize intramural leagues and help to organize viewing locations with raffle prizes for football games as well as negotiate viewing locations and plan kickoff parties.


VP, Communications - Julia Tankhelson, bcgccommunications@gmail.com

The VP of Communication’s main duty is to prepare and promote the Club through web and media outlets, including television, print and radio. The VP of Communication assists in the promotion of all club functions (through their own web page and the UFAA site) and assist with club newsletters. The VP of Communications writes emails for club related events and manages email list on the UFAA list serve.


 

VP, Corporate Sponsorship - Matthew Sanchez, bcgccorporatesponsorship@gmail.com

The VP of Corporate Sponsorship is in charge of organizing a database of sponsors for past and future solicitation. This individual also chairs the Gator Pages Online Directory and processes new sponsors and works with committee chairs to aid in soliciting sponsors and offering packages. The VP of Corporate Sponsorship corresponds with sponsors directly to make sure their needs are accommodated.


 

Secretary - Angel Thomas, bcgcsecretary@gmail.com

The Secretary is in charge of keeping appropriate club records (non-financial), including the minutes of all club meetings and other duties as directed by the club President. The secretary also keeps track of attendance at all board meetings and events and maintain a volunteer and board roster for the current year.



 

Treasurer - Matt Matz, bcgctreasurer@gmail.com

The Treasurer is responsible for preparing the Gator Club’s Annual Financial Report, along with providing financial snapshots for each board meeting. He is also responsible for keeping accurate income and expense statements and maintaining and reimbursing board members for expenditures related and approved by the club.



 

 

VP, Academics - Ruben Socarras, bcgcacademics@gmail.com

The Academic VP is responsible for promoting support for the various academic programs of the University. He works closely with the Director of Outreach and chairs the Gator Club Student Recruitment Committee, which organizes programs and events to better inform high school students and administrators of the academic curriculum and admission standards of the University. He also serves to organize student scholarships and the selection process. This individual is also responsible for organizing Scholarship Committee & Meetings and coordinating scholarship awards each year and tracking applicants and winners for future involvement with the club. They also contact and work with the UF Admissions representative for Broward County, and helps to provide any and all resources that we can for high school or current college students including volunteer service hours, internships, mentor programs and job opportunities. 



VP, Outreach
- Jenna & Julie Van Pelt (Co-VPs), bcgcoutreach@gmail.com

The Outreach VP is responsible for developing programs, in conjunction with the UFAA Director of Outreach, to bring speakers from the University to the club’s area. Programs sponsored by the Club and/or other local community service organizations, as well as special topic events sponsored by the Alumni Association, are featured in the Outreach program. The Outreach VP serves as the local contact for all organizations which might be interested in securing a speaker for an event through this program.


Young Alumni Coordinator - David Seitz, bcgcalumnicoordinator@gmail.com

The Young Alumni Coordinator is responsible for coordinating programs targeted to graduates 35 years and younger. The Coordinator also promotes membership to recent graduates and encourages participation within the Club and works with the SAA to help solicit new Grads for membership and involvement.



 Volunteer Coordinator - Cariann Moore bcgcvolunteercoordinator@gmail.com

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for attracting new members and providing general information about to the club to interested individuals. The Volunteer Coordinator also coordinates efforts for International Gator Day. This individual is responsible for organizing and handling all volunteers for all BCGC events, interacting with VP of Academics for high school volunteers and coordinating the volunteer schedule for football viewing locations.
